About Me

Hi my name is Kevin Moran, I grew up in West Palm Beach, FL. served in the U.S. Air Force for 5 years and used my experience in the military to complete my Bachelor Degree in Computer Science from the University of Houston. I currently work at Beyond Finance as an Application Support Lead.

In my spare time I like to create a web pages for local business. I enjoy being creative and developing a web presense for businesses to help grow their customer base.

The Computer Information Systems concentration, offered by University of Houston-Victoria, prepares students who know that they want to work in a business organization in a programming or non-programming, technical or management position including:

  • Systems Analyst
  • Web Developer
  • Application Programmer
  • Software Engineer
  • Information Systems Specialist

The lower division courses required include College Algebra and Finite Math, Business Calculus, Accounting I and II, and nine hours of programming selected from C#, C++, Java, or Visual Basic, with at least 3 hours in C/C++ Programming (preferably 6). The upper division courses will come mainly from Computer Science, Information Systems, Business and some Mathematics.

Design, code, and modify websites, from layout to function according to client specifications. Create websites using HTML CSS and other web technologies to deliver and maintain visually appealing sites that feature user-friendly design and clear navigation.

Software Product Support Lead at Beyond Finance 2019-Present

Monitor application systems, Resolve Tier 2 tickets and manage a knowledgebase for these issues. Collaborate with application developers, product managers and end users to coordinate the reports comunication and resolution of production incidents.

  • As a Product Support Team Lead, I monitor internal application for system health and manage support application for user such as ZenDesk support system, Gekoboard for team status, Atlassian JIRA ticket system and Conflunce knowledge base.

Application Support Associate at JP Morgan Chase 2017-2019

Resolve day to day issues, major incidents, and outages. Collaborate with application development, infrastructure, and implementation teams. Ensure risk and controls compliance for supported platforms. Manage Fee Billing applications in the Custody, Asset Servicing, and Securities Processing platforms.

  • As a Production Management team member, implemented best practices and identified opportunities for improvement and efficiency gains.
  • Managed 15 different confluence pages, improving incident management resolution time by 50%.

Technical Support, Healthcare Systems Analyst 2014-2017

Maintained university hardware (HP desktops), software (MS Office Suite, Scantron, HESI testing), network (wired and wireless), peripheral equipment, tools, and test equipment in the healthcare training environment. Performed onsite analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of desktop issues for end users. Recommended and implemented corrective solutions, including offsite repair for remote users. Developed, tested, and maintained documented system procedures and work instructions and trained end users. Improved service request resolution times from 15 minutes to 10 minutes on average by creating a “Go Pack,” an organized tool kit of items needed most during a support call.

Production Support Coordinator at Rolls Wood Group 2002-2010

Directed turbine engine repairs and coordinated all communication and collaboration with technical and operational personnel to ensure timely and accurate completion of initiatives. • Managed relationships with vendor providers to establish and cultivate strong business relationships and effective product support of third-party systems. Created an excel spreadsheet to track repairs going out to vendors to determine when parts would be available for production, improving the accuracy of engine build schedules.

Level III Turbine Engine Technican U.S. Air Force 1997-2002

Serviced mechanical and electrical systems on turbine engines to ensure the safe, stable operation of mission-critical aircraft. Assessed, diagnosed, and resolved all technical issues on 33 different B1B aircraft and their jet engines, performed repair procedures according to mission guidelines, requirements, and Air Force standards.
